Ann or Anna Pinckard was the niece of Mary and John Pinckard. The research suggests she was the child of John's brother, Bailey Pinckard. John's will was written 22 May 1824, recorded 3 Jul 1843 and lists his children, none named Ann. Nancy died before 1834 and Bailey remarried. The 1830 Census shows Bailey and Nancy had 11 kids. Mary and Nancy were sisters, and it looks like Bailey sent Ann and Bailey W. to live with Mary after John died in 1843. In the 1850 Census, Mary was 65, Bailey W. was 26 and Ann was 22. That would mean that Mary would have been 39 and 43 having these two kids. I would think that since John took such care to name all his kids in his will, he would have revised it to include Bailey and Ann, who were born about 1824 and 1828, respectively. The Bailey Pinckard descendants also claim these two kids as Bailey and Nancy's kids.
