Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Ione, thank you for your message. I still have a strong feeling that there is a connection. I do know that Robert Pinkard, the brother of my James Pinkard, born about 1807, did go to Missouri (Cedar Co. and Jackson Co.). Your brother mentioned a William Green Pinkard on your line, and my James Pinkard had a son, Charles Green. The two James' are similar in age. Your ancestors even used the same spelling as my line - the original spelling is Pinckard, but even in England it varies quite a bit. I will do some digging back another generation or two and see if there was another ancestor that went to the midwest. The Virginia Pinkards repeated the same given names - even brothers named sons the same names, making it really confusing. If you wish, you may contact me at Carrie925@aol.com.
