Janice: I have studied this William Pinkerton and have written a report on him. He came to Lancaster County PA in 1750. Mary Torbet was his second wife and yes, I believe John and James were their two sons. After she died, he married for the 3rd time widow, Isabel Criswell and they raised a large family in Oxford Twp., Chester Co., PA. I can tell you tons more if you like. William and Isabel are buried at the Faggs Manor Presbyterian Church in Chester Co.

Bruce Pinkerton
