I have never heard the song. Hope one of your male cousins will join the Pinkerton DNA Project. I do not understand the Pinkerton males. Don't they care about their ancestors and past history? I have paid for a few Rawls males to get into the Ralls-Rawls DNA project. I guess I will have to pay for one of my Pinkerton cousins to join to get information on our Pinkerton family. The Pinkerton DNA project probably has the fewest members of any DNA project in the U.S. If I were a Pinkerton male, that would embarrase me.

My grandfather who lived in Putnam County, Georgia always would tell me family history when I was a little fellow. I guess I was the only one who would listen. He told me that several brothers came to America. He always said that our family was related to the Pinkerton Detective bunch. I guess every Pinkerton has claimed that. The easy way to find out would be to get a known descendant of Alan Pinkerton in the DNA project and see how close the other Pinkerton males connect. You see a lot of Pinkertons talking about being kin to Alan Pinkerton but none are serious enough to find the truth. Anyway, I'll keep hoping.
