Pinkerton of Holestone, Co. Antrim, Ireland, from 1806

An internet site lists a Robert Pinkerton, b. 1806 at Holestone House, near Doagh, co. Antrim. As far as I can see, the family resident at Holestone House at the time was a gentry family called Owens. It occurred to me that perhaps Robert Pinkerton's father was employed on the estate, perhaps as land stewart or somesuch. I believe the internet genealogy suggests that Robert's father was William. These are names that occur in my Pinkerton lineage in north Antrim, twenty or so miles away. I wonder if William was a younger son of a prosperous farming family near Ballymoney who took a job in Holestone. There is one other possible hint; Holestone House is said by C. Brett in his book on co. Antrim houses to have been a great resort of greyhound breeders and fanciers, and I have come across (again on the internet) a greyhound named Pinkerton listed in breed books. I'm not at all sure that this is relevant!
Anyhow, does anyone know about this family?
