Thank you for the census lookup. The age is about 5 years off, so I suspect my GGfather was somewhere else in 1920 (his whereabouts during the period 1908-1943 are largely unknown). Charles' only known descendant was my grandfather Rowland, who contributed to the confusion in our family tree by changing his surname to Seaman (he was adopted by a relative of that name). Rowland's progeny are all known and accounted for.

I've written to LA country for a copy of Charles' death record, so perhaps I'll have additional information soon.
