Martin: Thank you very much for the information and insight which you provided. I have had these "family" notes for prob 25 years and have just now started to review them. I definitely need to do a lot more research and the sources which you mentioned will be very useful as I plan on being in Boston later this month to visit libraries and the NEHGS. I am new to genealogy but it is interesting to note how much incorrect data is posted to some sites, but at least they give clues. My family info is a good example, needless to say none of it is documented, or noted as such. Re the Pamelia Pinkham who married Peter Russell; in today's mail, I rec'd a copy of a listing of Deaths registered in the Town of Woodstock (signed by the Town Clerk) which lists Pamelia Russell's death in April, 1877, age 72y,3m,13d and parents as Thomas Pinkham and Margaret Pinkham. If this info holds up, it again disagrees with my families notes but confirms my suspicions. Thomas Pinkham sold land in Woodstock to Peter Russell (found a deed on this); it seems reasonable that his (Thomas) daughter would live on the family homestead. Since I live in NH and Woodstock is/was my hometown, I plan on reviewing their records to make sure this info is correct. Thanks again for your help Al Notify Administrator about this message?
