Now wait a minute before you blow Abiah off the map and into myth. Just because you happen to think that it is family myth. There were 2 Samuels (1) died in 1780 Madbury and Samuel(2) was born in 1768. Samuel (1) was born unknown to Richard (1) b. abt. 1672 m. Elizabeth Leighton b. abt. 1676 Dover, NH. Samuel (2) was b. 1768 to Richard (2) and Abigail? This Samuel married Sarah b. 1770 then to the rest of my direct line. I am in the process now of getting information from the Isle of Wright in Hampshire County England on the Pinkham family prior to 1663. When the Religous Wars were happening. Who is to say who is Richard's(1) father is and how he came and for how long and if he came at all. Names have a way of traveling through families and that is sometimes the only thing you have to connect with is the name not the documents. As much a you would like to they did not have computers to store all the name and even today people slip through the cracks and you have to find them.
