Martha Pinkham m. Joseph Giles

I have read all the postings on the family of Richard Pinkham of Dover and I still have a problem with Martha.

Martha, dau. Joseph Giles and Martha Pinkham was b. 22 July 1759 (History of Boothbay). (She is supposed to have m. Ebenezer Sawyer in 1785 and her age in 1830 was between 70 and 80. 1759 is the latest she can be born and fit that age bracket. Ebenezer was b. 1764.)

So it would seem that the latest that Martha Pinkham can be born and still be the mother of Martha Giles b. 1759 is 1745, not 1754 as stated in an earlier post. This would make her the first child of Tristam Pinkham and Martha Hayes, rather than the 5th.

Alternatively, the History of Boothbay is incorrect and Martha/Mary Giles that m. Ebenezer Sawyer is not the daughter of Joseph and Martha, but they appear to be the only Giles family in Boothbay in that time frame.

If anyone else has worked on this line and can help clarify, I would appreciate it.
