Not sure if this the same man, because he was born in Maine earlier.
Edwin was the son of Edwin Drummond Pinkham. (born 15 May 1840) ( I think his middle name was Drummond too.)born on 14 March 1882, just one day after his father Edwin senior died on Hilton Head Island in North Carolina at an Army Hospital from "lung fever" 4 days after he was discharged for his wounds. He was a corporal in I company 8th Maine Infantry Regiment during the Civil War. He was initially buried on Hilton head where 200 of his fellow Maine solders attended his funeral. His Captain William MacArthur later paid to have his body shipped home, but I have not found any reference to this in family records.
The younger Edwin, went to sea, and in New Zeeland, married Clara Allport in 1887 and had 5 or 6 children. He returned to the US, married Mary Ann Hughes ( I think she was a relative of his mother, Felicia Sarah Hughes). They had 4 children: Harriet, Henry, Isabel, and Elinor
I am not 100% sure of all of this, but it was passed on by my grandmother.
My grandmother was Isabel. She married Ewald Olofson from Goteborg, Sweden. They lived in Pascagoula Miss, New York City and then Spencer Mass. Their children were Ewald, Marguerite, and Patricia. Ewald's children were Ewald jr, and Kristen. Marguerite married Gregory Pasceri, and had 4 children Stephen, John, Gregory, and Marguerite. Patricia married Arthur Bastille and had 4 children, Mark(me), Morgan, Amy, and Brendan.
