Hopefully you'll see this; it has been two years since you posted your message. Regarding the family of June Pipes...John William Pipes, b1857, was my grandfather, Charles Pipes, 1/2 brother. Their father was James Pipes, who was twice married to Knifon sisters. His first wife died after having John & Liz Pipes. James remarried her sister, Virginia Pipes, and they had about 8-10 children, including my grandfather, Charles Pipes. Seaman Curtis was my grandfather's nephew.

My grandmother, Vera Talbert, is June's second cousin. She gave me this history. Grandma Vera lives in Green Castle, MO, which is in Adair county.
