I came across a website today which lists his
date of birth as 1715 in Taunton, MA USA. He married Sarah Hathaway, I believe.

His DoB is interesting. With a William Pipes
immigrating in 1774, this could be his grandson...Or even a son, depending. Bob's
site has great info on his descendants.
