OBIT - Willard PIPES
There passed to his reward at an early hour on Friday morning, June 9th, 1922 a figure well known to Oxford (Cumberland County, NS) residents in the person of Willard PIPES.
The deceased, although an invalid and a great sufferer for many ears had reached the ripe age of 73. During his illness he resided with his half brother, Timothy RUSHTON, Kolbec, where death occurred and from whose residence the funeral service was held on Saturday.
We are informed that in religion Mr. PIPES was a Baptist, having united with the Oxford Baptist Church many years ago.
Surviving relatives are, Wife, two sons, Frederick and Angus, three daughters, Mrs. Beatrice SWEENY, Mrs. Halley MOORE and Mrs. Augusta SCHURMAN, two sisters, Mrs. Mary RODENHOFFER and Mrs. Daniel RUSHTON, one half brother, Timothy RUSHTON.
Funeral services at the home and at the grave were conducted by Rev. W.E. SCOTT. Interment was made at Pine Grove Cemetery.
