During a trip through Rhode Island several years ago we stayed in a motel owned by some, Pipes. They traced their ancestery to Nova Scotia. I wonder if there weren't Pipes who were torries and moved north during the revolution. They did not know many Pipes from anyother area. They were surprised to see our name.
