Hello Beckie..
Pirazzi family comes from Fomarco, village located 30 km away from Maggiore Lake and 35 km away from Italy-Swiss frontier of Iselle.
50 km away from Fomarco there is the city of Macugnaga (1300 m. above sea level), alpine touristic locality weel-known for winter sports and mountaineering in the Alps and on foot of Monte Rosa (4500 m. above sea level).
In occasion of Easter 2000, we have met our Pirazzi family (till fifth generation), descending from Giuseppe Pirazzi (1860-1920) who is my great great grandfather, and have drawn our genealogical tree. That's the reason why I searched on the internet for other Pirazzi over the world.
Vincenzo, one of Giuseppe's sons, has emigrated to America about 1890 and we have no news of him.
In our Pirazzi branch we haven't any Giovanni. But my father (the source of all this information) have charged a relative who lives near Fomarco to look for Giovanni.
As soon as we have any news we will contact you again.
So far, I send you my best regards, hoping that my message could help you.

Elisabetta Savaglio
(fourth generation from Giuseppe Pirazzi)
