In his third volumne series of vital records drawn from early New York newspapers records are drawn from the marriage and death columns of newspapers published prior to 1835. There are 5192 marriages and 4920 deaths listed. Birth announcements were not published in these early papers.
Marriage officials are identified in the appendix. Towns of residence are by no means confined to eastern New York, i.e, Island of St. Thomas, etc.
The numbers given in parenthesis at the end of each entry are source citations. The first number identifies the newspaper; the remaining numbers (following the dash) refer to the month and day of publication, and less frequently the year of publication. Unless given in the citation, the year of issue of the newspaper is that of the vital record itself.
I am not related.I do not have any genealogy data on this family.
