Slaves owned by Peter Pitchlynn and Betsey Harris

Hello all,

My 4g-grandfather stated in his Interview for the Dawes Rolls of Choctaw Freedmen that he had previously owned by Peter Pitchlynn. His name was Hannibal Butler. He also stated that his wife, Matilda (Harris) Butler had been owned by Betsey Harris. My parusal of other cards appears to give me info on siblings/relatives of Hannibal and Matilda, by surname and by previous slave owners...most listed Peter as the Butler owner and Betsey or (Mrs. Harris) as the Harris' owner.

My question is this...I am relatively new to geneology, so where do I go from here? I am interested in any leads to other Pitchlynn or Harris family documents that would give me information on my family; beyond the generation mentioned above. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

God Bless,
