You will find in your research into the Choctaw Slaves that they did use the real name of the Slave, as did the Bulter Slaves. I have found several of those Bulter names in schedules and freedman list related to the Pitchlynns. Some of the Pitchlynns married into the Freedman people later in history. If you read the testimonies in the Freedman packets you should find all the information there. I have seen some of the packets and most of the Slaves told the commissioners who were their masters.
