Ben Bourland, 90, of Norman, OK. died Sept. 2, 2002 at Norman Hospital. Mr. Bourland was a direct descendant of the great Pitchlynn family. His grandmother was Alice Pitchlynn, the daughter of John T. Pitchlynn and granddaughter of Senator Thomas Jefferson Pitchlynn. Mr. Bourland was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a daughter, Michelle B. Eaton; Brothers, George W. William, Joe, Jim and Leland Bourland; and sisters, Alice B. Norris, Mary P. Prier and Ramona Bourland. He is survived by his sons: Joe R. Bourland, grandsons; Michael R. Eaton, Jeffery B. Bourland, granddaughters, Amy Cochran, and Cara L. Bechter; great-grandchildren: Zachery and Camille Eaton, Davis Cochran, Brooks, Connor and Colin Bourland and Callan, Ben and Riley Bechter.
