If anyone out there has any Pitchlynn information, please post it to this web page. The Pitchlynns were a very prominent Indian Family who had a lot to do with establishing the United States. Major John Pitchlynn knew General Andrew Jackson and President George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. If fact, Major John Pitchlynn named one of his sons after Thomas Jefferson. His name was Thomas Jefferson Pitchlynn, born 1816 and died: circa 1862 during the Civil War. Please contribute any information you have on the Pitchlynn Clan.
