This was handed down by two sisters Artemesia Miley Howell and Ora Audress Miley McKee so we believe this was true. All the children remember this saying.
I am the gt,gt, gt, gt, granddaughter of Sophia Pitchlynn,
Mother of Elizabeth Pitchlynn Franklin, The Mother of T. J. Franklin, The father of Missouri Ann Miley, The Mother of Ora Audress Miley etc.
Our family history has been told to us by Ora Miley that Sophia was a Choctaw Indian. In the 1950's some of the family had a congressman from Mississippi who was trying to get new papers for us but he died and we heard no more.
Artemecias daughter said the original papers were lost in a fire.Sophia Pitchlynn, Elizabeth Pitchlynn Franklin(these are the dates we need)Rev. T. J. Franklin b1822 married to Caroline Purvis, Missouri Ann Franklin Miley b.9-13-1853married to Rev.T. J. Miley, Ora Audress Miley Mckee b.ll-23-1886 married to Rev B. L. Mckee. These ministers preached over the State of Miss. and surely some one could help us fine the dates we need. Thanks
