This was transcribed from the choctaw Intelligenia News paper:
Eastman Pitchlynn, died an orphan on Dec. 4, 1850. He was a former student at the Spencer Academy. When he died he would have been around 11 or 12 years old. Rev. Alexander Reid called him a nephew of Peter Pitchlynn. However, researchers don't know if he was a child of Thomas J. Pitchynn, Alexander Pitchlynn or Ebenezer Pitchlynn.. It is not known who his parent were. If anyone has any knowledge of Eastman's parent, please place a message on this web site. Thanks.
