Susan Lovelace Claims Pitchlynn heritage
Posted by: Bob Date: July 19, 2000 at 22:57:27

Choctaw Denied Rolls: D-757: Susan Lovelace claimed to be the daughter of a woman named Emma Pitchlynn or Ann Pitchlynn. She stated that her father's name was Charley Weaver, a free man with some colored blood in him. She was denied enollment in the Choctaw Nation. The commission questioned Andrew Colbert (Choctaw Freedman) and Ben Pitchlynn (Choctaw Freedman) about the Pitchlynn family and could not establish any relationship between the Pitchlynns and this Susan Lovelace. If anyone has any information on this family, please post it or email me about this situation.
