Ina, keep up the good work. I do think something needs to be said about the repeating of family names. Margaret and Emanuel had a son Fred H that was born about 1850 in Texas on on the way. Their son Newton also had a son named Fred H, though he resided in Arkansas and was born in the 1870s

The continued use of Stephen, Fred, etc makes the trail more interesting and confusing.

There is now some research done on the John/Mary Fisher line back several generations. It also seems to identify John's siblings (including Jerusha) and accounts for the name Emanuel. Maxine Wilton can bring you up to date.
