William Pitcock, born 1840 in Ohio, died 1918, Jasper Co, Iowa. Married Matilda Tedrow in 1862, Perry County, Ohio. They had children, William born 1864 and died 1867, Harley born 1866, Rosa born 1869/70, Harry born 1874, Bessie May born 1876, Rilla born 1877, William (Willie) born 1880 and Edward (Eddie) born 1886. The two eldest children were born in Perry Co, Ohio, and the remainder in Jasper Co, Iowa. I have found a William Pitcock in the household of DAVID PITCOCK (1850 and 1860 US Census of Muskingum County, Brush Creek Twp, Ohio)who is of the correct age to (have) been born in 1840. Subsequently, I have obtained a death record from Jasper County, Iowa, that says the father of my William Pitcock, 1840-1918, is (also) WILLIAM PITCOCK. The death record contained no information about William Pitcock's mother. Could someone help me out? Who was the father of my William Pitcock as described above, or a clue as to how he fits into the Pitcock family. Thanks,

Billy Hammett
