Jeremy Ray Pitman (1985 - 2010)
SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Jeremy Ray Pitman, 24, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 23, 2010 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. John Harp. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday July 22, 2010 at the funeral home.
Jeremy was born on December 9, 1985 in Shreveport to Douglas Pitman and Brenda Pitman Burt. He passed away from a tragic automobile accident on July 19, 2010. He was a lifelong resident of Shreveport and a member of The Simple Church. He was employed with Keithville Well Service.
Jeremy will be remembered as a loving son, husband, father, brother and friend. His friends gave him the nickname of "Sunshine" for he was always smiling from ear to ear and lit up any room he entered. He was truly our "Sunshine"
Preceding Jeremy in death was his father, Douglas Pitman and brother, Jarrett Ray Pitman. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Kelly Pitman; mother, Brenda Burt and husband, Norman; his children, Matthew and Morgan Pitman and Caleb Pitman; sister, Amanda Morgan and husband, Josh; father-in-law and mother in-law, Bones and Gail Kirkpatrick.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Free, Nick Morgan, Brad O'Brien, T. J. Carson, Paul Barnett and Wade Gandy. Honorary Pallbearers are Melvin Free, Terry Carson, Chris Pender, Greg Bacque and Josh Morgan.
In Lieu of flowers a fund has been set up at Home Federal Bank "The Memorial Fund of Jeremy Pitman."
