Libby, I know what you mean about the THOMAS PITTMANS! It can be very confusing and sometimes I wonder if I will ever get actual documentation all the way back. That is why we did the DNA test. It is very simple, just swab your mouth when you get the kit and send it back to them. The more people we get in the PITTMAN DNA project, the better results we will have. I can get back to you with a name and place to send for the kit. The price varies from about $100. to $300 or more depending on how many markers you want tested. Or you can go to PITTMAN DNA Project and read about it some more. DAN PITTMAN is the leader and has helped me and my cousin ORIN LOUIS PITTMAN. As I said even if I don't find an actual record connecting me to CAPTAIN THOMAS PITTMAN at least my DNA proves I am closely related. GOOD LUCK and HAPPY HUNTING!
