I am curious to know if anyone in researchng this family has ever been inclined to think there might be some Native American heritage...My Grandmother was the daughter of William Jackson Pitner and Elizabeth/Eliza Jane Austin. Her name is Willie Frances Pitner who married Francis Josephus Hopper. We had been told there was such heritage, but nothing has been found to verify this. Grandmother looked very "Indian" as did a picture of William Jackson...Hope someone might be able to shed some light...Thanks, Rita Antle
