James Pitner b. 1809 Tennessee

Wondering if anyone has identified the father/ mother of James Pitner b. 19 Mar 1809 in Tennessee and died 22 April 1895 in Georgia. He is buried at Shady Grove Methodist Cemetery in Dahlonega, Lumpkin County, Georgia. He married Sarah Asenath Williams (born 13 May 1808 in Tennessee) by May 1829 when the first of their 11 children was born.

From what I have seen I am postulating that perhaps his father was a son of Adam Pitner born abt. 1766. If Adam married and had a son by 1786-1790, that son would be old enough to then marry and have James in 1809. James named one of his sons Adam Harvey aka Harvey Adam aka A.H. Pitner.

Any thoughts? Do we know who Adam's children were?

Norma
