Thank you for the info. I will start the research on it. My Pitner family tree is the Sevier County Pitner's. I had heard at time that the family may be from Germany however there was nothing substanial to follow up on. Hopefully the information you have provided will lead me in the right direction.

Out of curiousity how many branches of the Pitner family are there? I have seen at least two other branches including the Ga. Pitner's.

Once again, thanks for the information. If anything turns up I will forward on.
