I am trying to find information on my great grandfather, JOSEPH PITNER. I know he was born in 1904 in Russia and died on September 7, 1990. Sometime in between this I know he immigrated to American to NY. He lived on 247 Walkins Street. He married on July 15, 1931 to my great grandmother SARAH GERSHICK, who is also from Russia and I am also looking for information on. She lived on 913 Sutter Ave. They had twins on May 14, 1932, my grandmother and my uncle. Their names are Thelma and Herbert Pitner. They were born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Thelma married Abraham BRAUNSTEIN, my grandfather and they continued to live in Brooklyn, NY until moving to Old, Bridge, NJ. They had two children, my mom, Phyllis, and my uncle Glenn.
