Recently while looking at online geneaology records I saw a Pittuck family that were of Dutch extraction. Years ago I wa stold by some visitors to Alaska that indeed it was a Dutch name , albeit unusual and they were found in several small village.

I do know my ancestors lived in Wivenhoe Essex but have been curious as to where they were origially fron?
Any truth to those sources of information?
