Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
I have the information you mentioned. I don't mean to sound negative, but with no older family members, we have a difficult time. I will, however, check my father-in-law's baptismal certificate. With a name perhaps it will ring a bell with some one else out there. My only other information is that when my husband's grandfather left we think he went to Mexico. We don't know where if so. Even then, it is only speculation. It is our belief that he may have started another family while in Mexico. Once again, it is only speculation. My husband's father is Socorro Placencia, he has siblings by the names Frank, Henry and Lucia. Unfortunately, they were all very young children when their father left. Their mother's name was Maria Lugo. She refused to speak of their father. This is why know so little. If these names sound familiar to any one out there, we would welcome any info you may have. Thanks
