Plaisance Postcard
Hi,
I am not a Plaisance, but I was a little curious about the family because I saw a postcard from around 1908 or '06 yesterday at an antique store here in Alabama from a lady named "Mrs. Lercadio(?) Plaisance of New Orleans, best I recall. It was an image of Evageline Oak, or maybe one of the dueling oaks, can't remember, and she had written on the front of it that her niece in Birmingham was to bring "the will so that Uncle Frank can look it over." She said she wanted to make sure she got all of her stuff, or something to that effect. I thought that was so interesting, so I jotted down all I could remember when I got back out to my car -- the card cost 3 bucks and I didn't have a good reason to buy it, LOL, but I wondered if anyone might recognize the family. Mrs. Plaisance signed it as Aunt Pauline.
Anyway, I thought it was cool because I am very into New Orleans area history, and I wanted to share.
