Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Phil, I ran across your post today and would like to offer up the following. I believe the Marie PLANKEY (17) you mention on the 1850 census is actually Marie BOYER, wife of John (Jean Baptiste) PLANKEY (actually 22 on the census sheet), living with Marie's family at the time of the 1850 census. On the 1860 census of Black Brook, NY, page 301, you will find John, age 32, and Maria(sic), age 27, living in their own household with 2 children, Maria and Noah. In addition, a baptism of a Jean Baptiste PLANQUAIS on 12 Feb 1863 at St. John the Baptist, Keeseville, NY is likely a child of this couple also. This information along with much more on the PLANTIER/PLANQUIER/PLANKEY/PLANQUAIS/PLANQUE families can be found on my WorldConnect site at: http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=rbrtslm.
