DNA testing of Plantier-like names
Posted by: John Plant (ID *****5254) Date: October 16, 2002 at 09:15:16

I am coordinating a Y-Line DNA study of Plantier-like names to see, for example, if the name Plantier belongs largely to a single family and to see if it is related to others with similar names such as Plantie, Planty, Plante, etc. The testing may also show slight differences between different branches of the Plantier family which may help to group different Plantiers together into their genealogical lines.

The study is decribed under "Real Life Stories" on the Oxford Ancestors web site...

http://www.oxfordancestors.com/

Altough it appears there as the "Plant" Surname study, it is open to all "Plant-like" names including the important name Plantier. This is descibed in more detail on the web site...

Please let me know if you are interested in participating.

Hoping to hear from you,

Best Regards,

John
