David, I have tried this e-mail 3 times, maybe I will get it right this time. I am not a Pletz, but I think that Daisey Lewis Pletz was my Gma's Aunt. My Gma was Lula Anna Walker Ferguson married to Byrd Willis Ferguson of Charleston, Coles Co., Ill. In the 1830"s,Great Aunt Pletz came to visit Gma. She lived in Springfield Ill. and
she told me she was 16 when Abraham Lincoln was PROCLAIMED president and she stood so close to the carriage that it ran over her toes. Here is my family run and I am trying to find the family of Joseph Lewis. Joseph Lewis M/ Nancy Hawkins Adkins-Nov. 1844, Coles co. Ill. They had 2 daughters-Margaret Ann and Martha Melvina Lewis. In 1852/3 Nancy remarried to Arthur Schnorf. I presumed that Joseph Lewis died, perhaps in the epidemic in that area in 1850/51.Trying to find his family. I know my cousin Bill Ferguson would take Gma to visit relatives in Springfield. Could she have been a younger sister to Joseph Lewis. This Daisey would have been in her 40's when she married your Joseph Pletz. Please could you help me. Thanks. pattykk@texoma.net
