Hi Marcel,
I have Pauline's death certificate which has the following information:
Born Pauline Marie PLATZ (PLATY?)
The death certificate gives here age as 66 years when she died on 22 November 1933 , this would give her year of birth as 1867. However her marriage certificate(which I have a copy) in 1894 advises her age was 23 years which would mean she was born in 1871. Therefore the date of birth varies from 1867-1871. Actually her husband's date of birth was 1867 so I tend to think that her date of birth was around 1870-1871.
The place of birth is listed as Hermannstadt Hungary.
Her father is Wilhelm Platy (it could be Platz) a chemist and mother is Anna maiden name Drotlef.
My cousin has mentioned that Wilhlem was an apothicary and he must have had a shop because he took on apprentices.
You mentioned in your e mail to me you have all info now and proceed in Sibiu (Hermannstadt). I have sent you an e mail asking if you had any luck but haven't rec'd a reply. Any up date would be appreciated,
regards
Rick
