Dear Dave:

It was all very interesting to me, however, I don't think we are connected.

My mother was Arleane Pletz, born in
May, 1918 to the union of Henry Pletz and Jane Nohelty. She had an older sister, Dorothy, born of the same union in 1916.

Not sure when Henry was born, maybe 1887 or thereabouts to the union of Wilhelm Pletz and Henrietta Keck. All these above named births took place in Chicago. From what I know, Henrietta and Wilhelm came here from Germany. Henrietta saw the Lincoln funeral train. Wilhelm was found floating in the Chicago River probably before the turn of the last century.

Does any of this sound familiar to you? My mother and aunt are gone; I have no contact at all with this part of my family and feel the emptiness caused by that.

Thanks for your help and hope your hard drive problem is getting better by the moment.

Thanks, Kitty Shanahan
