Wish I could help on Samuel Plavnick

Yes, I wish I had more information to fill in the gaps. As Paul D. Plavnick's son, I have no more information than he does. In addition to curiosity about our ancestors names, places of origin, etc., I am also curious as to why our side of the family (Samuel and Esther Plavnick's son Max Plavnick, and his children Joan (Plavnick) Dwork and Paul Plavnick didn't know until this year that Samuel Plavnick's sibblings and parents had immigrated to the U.S. It boggles my mind as to why this was not discussed.
