I suppose that the adventurous spirit lives on. I am a Playford from Australia that has so far managed to live and work for most of his life outside of it....PNG, UK, Tonga and more recently Jamaica.

I have a maiden Aunt on my fathers side who is quite into the researching of the Playford family tree and I believe that she has traced us back some way into the UK of 1500/1600. She is also adventurous having done Uttar Pradesh to look after leppers and PNG to teach and nurse at Mt Hagen in Papua New Guinea (which is a pretty violent place even today).
