Since my last posting in September this little genealogy novice feels quite proud of herself. After a few searches through kind friends at the Sussex Records Office I found out that I too am related to the infamous Thomas PLAYFORD ( 1690 ) of Tenterden Kent. Only I'm a bit more unique as most of the family are tracing roots from his son James PLAYFORD ( 1743 ) and his son Henry PLAYFORD and Sarah ( nee Goodsall/Goodsell) who set sale from Gravesend to Australia.

I descend as such

Thomas 1609 Wilby ( so far extensive re search for his parents can not be found in parish records )
Thomas 1738 Tenterden Kent
William 1782 Beckley Sussex
James 1813 Sedlescombe Sussex
Thomas 1852 Sedlescombe Sussex
Thomas 1889 Sedlescombe Sussex
Ronald 1913 Sedlescombe Sussex my grandfather

Pleased as punch!!!
