The last will and testament of William Whiteaker of Chariton County, State of Missouri.I, William Whiteaker considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form as follows.
First, After the payment of all my just debts.I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Nancy T. Whiteaker all my real estate and personal property and effects during her natural life.
2nd, After the death of the said NANCY T. WHITEAKER the foregoing described real estate and personal property shall be equally divided between my legal heirs; in addition to this I give and bequeath to my three grand children Mrs. George A. Reynolds, William J. Seney and John F. Seney one hundred dollars each.
3rd, I make the following request that after my death that my son John Wesley should administer on my estate.Witness my hand and seal, this the day and year above written.

I, Nancy T. Whiteaker, Chariton Co., MO, widow of Wm Whiteaker, decd, do hereby authorize and request Wm. H. Bradley, admin., of the estate of Wm Whiteaker, decd, to sell all of the real estate belonging to the estate of said William Whiteaker decd, and I hereby request that my dower interest in said real estate be sold and the proceeds of the sale of said real estate be paid to me that is; the one third of the proceeds of the amount received on the sale sequel? to my one third interest in sale real estate by the admin. of said real estate by the adm. of said estate.Signed Nancy T. In the matter of the estate of William Whitaker, decd;now at this day comes Wm H. Bradley, who is the admin. of sd estate, hereby petitions the court for an order, authorizing him to sell the following described real estate which is the property of the estate of said decd, as follows:
-40 acres SE Qtr of the SW Qtr
-4 acres on E side of the SW Qtr of the SW Qtr; all in section 19, Twp 56, 16, situated in Chariton Co., MO;
and the reasons for presentation of this petition for the sale of said real estate are as follows:
The admin. allyes that at his first annual settlement of said estate made at the present term of this court, there is due to the estate a balance from the admin. of $519.73, that said balance consists of uncollected notes accounts due the estate and charged in the inventory and in said settlement to the admin., that said notes are against persons whom this admin. believes are entirely insolvent, that he has made proper effort to get said notes settled but has been unsuccessful and does not believe the cause can be collected by law.That the notes not yet matured was against persons whom this adm. believes to be entirely insolvent, so that very little (if any) money can be realized from said notes and he is therefore without means to pay the debts and expenses one by said estate.There are no other assets in his hands except that there have been allowed and classed against said estate, the following demands viz:
