Found some records of my late Grandmother's (a Pleasanton). The records confirm a marriage between David Pleasanton (1733-1774) and Deborah Luff (1740-1788). However, the year of marriage is shown as 1761. One of their children was Nathaniel Pleasanton (died 1788) who married Margaret White. My grandmother's records go no further back than David.
I'm confused by your reference to the death of John Pleasanton in 1720 (father of David?). How could John die 13 years before son David was born?
Do you know if General Alfred Pleasonton (of Civil War fame) descended from the Kent County Pleasantons?
