Without the name of her parents, I cannot identify her. However, here is a possibility.
An Elmire Pleau born on 8 feb. 1842 in Montreal was the daughter of Georges Pleau and of Elmire Retting or Rotting who lived in Trois-Rivières, Quebec at least from 1844 to late 1850. I have no information on this family after 1850. It is possible that they emigrated to USA since Georges had nephews who emigrated to Pittsfield, MA.
Could you give me more details.
