Pledger Family History by Florence Pledger

Pg 41

John Wesley Pledger b. 1-20-1895 d. 7-18-1940. m 1 Valeria Bowen. John joined the navy in the mid-1920's and was stationed in CA. Divorced. They had two children:
Francis (Fannie) b. 6-17-1917 Fannie went to CA to live with her father and died there in the early 1980's
John Albert b. apporx 1921 d. age 4 in Birminghoam AL.

John Wesley m2 about 1930 to Rosa Baker. They had three children:
Tommy
John Walter d. in the late 1950's
Daphne Baker (adopted)
After John's death, Rosa and children moved to Bakersfield CA and last contact with her was in 1983. She said John Walter and Fannie had died. Tommy and family lived in Oregon. Daphne still in Bakersfield, CA. John was buried in Fort Barrancus national Cem, Pensacola Fla.


If I'm looking at this right, his father was 5.Harris Augustus, b. 11-2-1849 d. 6-20-1921 m Elizabeth Virginia Braxton b 5-23-1855 d. 11-27-1912. They were born, lived and died in Mariana, Fla. They are both buried in the Pledger Cem, Pittman Hill off Highway 73 about 10 miles south of Marianna.
