Mary, I am looking at 1860 census of Elbert Co., GA and see W.P. Pledger and A.E. Pledger, with children: E.J.K.Pledger (10 F), L.A. Pledger (8 F), and N.A. Pledger (4 F). I believe this to be my great grandmother, Nancy Adeline Pledger (age 4) with her parents, William P. Pledger and Arrenia Ford Pledger. Could you have been speaking of 1870 census?
