Philip Pledger 1710-1787

For anyone trying to get in touch with me... I do have a new email address... jharley2@cox.net.

I am a descendant of Capt. Philip Pledger through his daughter Elizabeth.. and her third husband Wm Fields.

Someone sent me a picture the other day of a picture of Philip Pledger's tombstone at St. David's church in Cheraw, SC, which is where he was attending church just before he died. It is new looking and I wondered who had been responsible for it. For those that might not know, the church was enlarged , and they added on to the back, which put it right over Pledger's tomb, so the word is, he is buried under the church now. Apparently, someone went to the trouble to buy another stone.. and I just wondered who had been so generous. I have just bought one for my grandmother, so know how expensive they can be.

I would be glad to exchange info on this lineage.

Joanne H.
