Henry H. WILLIAMS and Caroline PLEDGER

Seeking information on Henry H. WILLIAMS whose daughter, Maria D., md. William Henry DEBERRY. Caroline WILLIAMS, d/o William PLEDGER was the wife of Henry H. WILLIAMS. Another unnamed daughter of Henry and Caroline (PLEDGER) WILLIAMS md. an EMANUEL.

Cheraw Court Records of February 1849 noted that Caroline PLEDGER WILLIAMS was dead by 1838 and W. H. DEBERRY brought suit against Henry H. WILLIAMS and his Co-Defendants (Henry's other children) for continuing to possess the land after her death. It seems that Caroline's father, William, PLEDGER, had given her use of the property after her mother's death in 1805, "without the control of her husband" until her death at which time, PLEDGER intended the property to convert back to his heir to be divided. W. H. DEBERRY filed for his part due to wife, Maria.
