My great grand uncle was a Julius Pleger (1883-1971), but not the one you are looking for. He was the son of Karl/Karle/Charles Pleger, who came from the port city of Gdansk, Poland in the time it was of Prussia in nationality. I do not know the connection between our two families, but the likelyhood that we are related is great. I am finding that Pleger's like to reuse the same names within the family both here in the states & back in the 'homeland', so tracing back can get not only confusing but difficult. I do know from family rumors, that there where Pleger relatives who went to Michigan & around the Buffalo, NY area. Some of Karl's children moved near those relatives when they grew up. Other than that, it is all that is known.
